Essential cookies and browser preferences
The website uses a secure session cookie for security and session functions and smi_consent to remember the privacy choices you make. The consent cookie stores the consent-policy version, your Analytics and Marketing selections and the time the choice was saved. It is retained for up to one year. On the homepage, essential browser storage also remembers whether the Email Updates popup was dismissed or successfully used, so it is not repeatedly shown. A dismissal is remembered for 14 days; successful use suppresses the popup on that browser unless its local site storage is cleared. This popup preference does not contain your name or email address and is not used to create an advertising profile.
Analytics
When Analytics is enabled, the website can create smi_vid, a random first-party visitor identifier. It supports session, pageview, source/campaign and conversion reporting. Where enabled, the analytics session can also record the internet IP address used for the visit and an approximate country derived from that address. The IP address has a shorter default retention period than the wider analytics history. Country lookup may use a server-side IP-to-country service; it is not used to send your SenecMe profile or application data to that service.
Marketing measurement
When Marketing is enabled, optional marketing measurement tags may be loaded. Google Consent Mode starts with analytics and advertising storage denied, and Google Tag Manager is not loaded by this website until Analytics or Marketing consent has been granted.
Email updates are separate
Subscribing to SenecMe email updates is a separate, explicit choice. You can reject Marketing cookies and still enter your name and email address to receive email updates. Starting a Trial does not automatically subscribe you to marketing email.
Changing your choice
You can change your cookie preferences at any time. Rejecting non-essential categories leaves the secure website, Email Updates form and registration handoff available, but disables optional first-party analytics database writes and optional marketing tags for future activity on the website.
